Marvins Mittens - Cute Cute and Double Cute

Marvin's Mittens is a rather cute little platformer where you, as Marvin, explores the forests, cliffs and caves around your house in order to find a lost mitten. Its not on steam yet but it has been greenlit so its worth giving a good look-over at this game and maybe, just maybe I can convince you to try and pick it up.

Firstly lets look at the graphics, they are really pretty and cute with hand-drawn animations for each character you find and lovely looking snowy backdrops across the whole thing. Sound-wise the game follows the same suit, soft music leading you across each of the areas and some more high-tempo tunes for sledding quickly across the map.

Gameplay also seems to file in the same way as the art and sound, the controls feel fluid and well-done, jumping is never ever a chore and there never happens to be any irritating 'Just there' pixel jumps. Occasionally the game does hurl into the 'Blind jump' area but even then, because there's no way to get Marvin killed, there's no actual threat if you miss.

And that's where the game both rises and falls at the same time, its a very simple and adorable title, maximum you'll get about 4-5 hours gametime from it but... that's not exactly a bad thing as what this game does do, it does remarkably well and it manages to be a joy to play from start to finish.
