Finding Teddy - I Am Your Friend

Going through some of the games on Steam I had marked as 'Non-Working' was this little title which suddenly, out of nowhere had begun working properly with no real reason why. First glances, the game looks cute and intresting but does it really hold up well against other games?

Well... It does okay I guess. Firstly its obviously a mobile port and there's very little to disguise that fact which knocks it down a little but at the same time, this is never really to the game's detriment given the type of game it is. Objects and locations are clear at all times and theres never really any moments where you are completely confused as to what you can and cannot do.

The second bit is the game's style itself. Its cute, its very colourful... However at the same time it is also quite dark in places too. Throughout the game you can wind up getting the lead girl killed in a multitude of ways, some more gruesome than others. The game thankfully just kicks you back to where you were before making the mistake you did though its still worth pointing out to people who just believe that this can be played by small children, it shouldn't.

The puzzles themselves are decent enough too but the game is a little too much in love at times with its 'Music' mechanic where sounds equal letter shaped notes. This is all well and good but it also hurts the game when several of the animals that give out music don't happen to show what notes they are using. This is an issue because if you happen to have bad hearing or no sound on the computer at any time, the game becomes near unplayable.

Overall its a nice little game, surprisingly dark in places and incredibly short play-length wise. Price-wise its on point thankfully and also comes with the OST, another bonus.
